Sleep is essential for a person’s 

health and wellbeing






Here are some reasons why it's so important for kids to get a good night sleep :
1. The brain restorates with sleep.
                 

2. With few sleep we can gain weight,  due to the alteration of the  levels of the hormones which regulate satiety and hunger, leading us to overeating, overweight, and obesity.
                   
3. During  sleep time, growth hormone is secreted.
                        
                     

4. A higher incidence of behavioral problems (especially attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder) is associated with an insufficient sleep.                 
 .

       
           5. Night terrors and confusional arousals are often made worse by sleep deprivation.
                  
                  

             

           6. While sleeping all the different pieces of what we have learned during the day come together                  coherently, making possible the access to knowledge every tiem we need it. This is called:                      Memory consolidation.

                        

           7. Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, is the stage of sleep when the most vivid dreams are                          dreamt. This stage is important for the "unlearning" of superfluous memories.

                                 


           8. When kids sleep well, their parents' sleep improves, too, doing wonders for their ability to                        function during the day (and maintain their sanity in the evening and night). This may be last                  on this list, but certainly not least!
